Marcus Hollander

=Special Advisor

Marcus Hollander has over 30 years of experience in health services research, evaluation and administration. He has held the following senior research positions: Director of Research and Planning for the Alcohol and Drug Commission of B.C., Visiting Research Fellow at Statistics Canada, and Director of the Health Network of the Canadian Policy Research Networks. He has also served in a number of senior administrative and policy positions in the B.C. Ministry of Health. Marcus holds academic appointments in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University, and in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. Marcus is a nationally recognized expert in continuing care and has recently started working in primary care. He currently leads a project to evaluate two primary care initiatives in British Columbia: the Full Service Family Practice Incentive Program, and the Practice Support Program.

Marcus Hollander holds an honours BA in sociology, an MA in sociology, an MSc in health services planning and administration, and a PhD in human and social development with concentrations in social and health policy, administration and finance.
